Women in Physics________________________________________

Women are severely underrepresented in physics and engineering, which require a strong physics background. At the APPC 10 Special Forum Session on "Women in Physics", physicists in the Asia Pacific region will discuss the current situation in each member society of AAPPS and develop strategies to promote women physicists in the region.

International Cooperation Forum_____________________________

"International Cooperation in Asia Pacific -25 Years After"

The International Cooperation Forum is organized under the auspices of the Association of Asia Pacific Physical Societies (AAPPS) and the Korean Physical Society. This forum is dedicated to the commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the APPC since 1982 and the 10th event in the APPC series. The APPC helped to set off various international cooperation activities in Asia Pacific including the birth of AAPPS and APCTP. The future vision of Asia Pacific physics communities will be discussed at the forum. This Forum is held during 19:00-21:30 on August 22, 2007.
